What is the Friendship Run about? The Friendship Run focuses on strengthening a sense of community and well-being among students. The aim is for students to work together for a common cause, get moving and gain a feeling of togetherness. In the process they will raise money for and learn, about other children in need. Sponsor your child If you want to, you can sponsor your child any amount of kroner for each lap run by your child. At the European School of Copenhagen, the route we are planning to run is 1 kilometre long. Easy to contribute Once your child has completed the Friendship Run, you can work out how much you should contribute as a sponsor. On the collection page you have the opportunity to write a greeting to the class or school and share the page on social media. You can also suggest to your workplace that they become a sponsor. As a thank you, they will get a web banner that says they have contributed to the work of Save the Children and they can put it on their website. The company name will also appear on the collection page when they make their contribution. All children participate regardless of whether they have been sponsored from home. What are you contributing to? The money raised by the students through the Friendship Run goes to Save the Children’s work to save, protect and help the poorest children in Denmark and the rest of the world. In Denmark, Save the Children is working against violence, abuse and bullying of children. Save the Children builds communities and strengthens children's resilience, arranging camps and nature experiences for vulnerable children and their families.
